My little Gracie is just the best eater!!! I know I've bragged on that before, but I'm telling you there is not much this kid won't eat!!! I take this as a total blessing because she has a 4 year old sister that has to be begged and pleaded with to eat! Gracie's appetite may not last forever, so I'm going to revel in it as long as I can!!
The other night I gave her this corn-on-the-cob and she loved it! I tried to hold it the "right" way so she could get the best bites, but she would have none of it. So, she ate it the Gracie way!!!
I know she's mine, but isn't she so cute!!! Sorry, just had to brag a bit!!!
I'm having to catch on my posts all in one day, so stay tuned!!

Claire's 4th Birthday
This past Sunday(Sept. 20th....yes, I'm a lot behind) Emily was invited to her friend Claire's 4th Birthday party. Ashley, Claire's mother, did a wonderful job planning and all the kids had a great time.
It had rained so much that Ashley had to move the party to her church's gym. It worked out great! There was just something for everyone to do!!
Em loves a good bouncy! Her face was so red!!!!
Clair and her daddy, Chad, blowing out the candles!!

This pinata cracked me up!! I didn't think that Em would even try to take a swing at it, but she was game!!! She rared back and knocked the fire out of it and everyone went "OOOOHHHHHH". It was so funny and I just died laughing. She didn't bust it but she made an awesome crack at it!!!
Anticipation!!!

A fun time was had by all!!! Thanks Ashley for inviting us!! And Claire, I'm glad you had a Happy Birthday!!

Off to the Mall we Go!!!!
I don't know how the weather has been where you live, but here, it has been messy!! Rain, Rain, Rain!!! Having to stay inside so much can make for a long week. On Saturday, Chris and I decided to take the girls to the Galleria in Birmingham. We thought it would be nice to have a change of scenery and we knew the girls would love it. I also wanted to let Emily Build-A-Bear.
Gracie at the beginning of the day. So cute and so put together.
Building a bear with Emily was fun. It took a bit for her to get warmed up to all the action because there was a Birthday Party going on in the store, and Emily was not crazy about all the loud noise.
First, she picked her animal. She decided on a rabbit that she named Fluffy but she soon changed it to Ali (I'm sure her name will change several more times)
If any of you have been to Build-a-Bear, you already know all this...but Emily got to pick a heart to put in her rabbit and it really beats!!
After Ali was finished being made, Em gave her a bath so she could be clean on her first day at her new home!! Then she picked out some clothes for her. Of course, my child picked out the only smocked dress in the whole store. She is a kid after my own heart!!!
Em and Chris riding the escalator. She loved it. The only problem we had here was when Em stepped on, she would get nervous and nearly pull you down trying to decide on what step she was going to stand on. But we did it so many times, she finally got the hang of it.

Em and Ali all ready to go home!!
Poor Gracie looked like she had had enough by the time we were on our way home. She was so good the whole day!! I told her that wiping her hair down with her hands after she ate Chick-fil-A nuggets was not a good idea. But kids, they never listen!! HaHa!

Much Ado About Nothing!!!
Okay, I know I have not posted anything in a week, and I have caught a lot of flack form some family members because of it. I've gotten the usual, "You need to change the name of your blog from Daily News to Not So Daily News". Thanks again brother-in-law!! That never gets old....right up there with "I told Jesus You said Hey"!!! Sorry if none of this makes since but it's all an ongoing inside joke between family.
I haven't posted because to be honest, not a lot has been going on. Hence the title "Much Ado About Nothing". I'm glad life has slowed down a bit, but it makes my "bloggablity" factor go WAY down.
I do have a running theme with these next several pictures. Emily is all about dressing up and putting on makeup and now she has an opinion about how her hair is fixed. Really, she has always had an opinion about her hair, but I guess the thing is now that she wants to do it herself. I remember my mother rolling my hair on rollers when I was little. I have wanted to do the same with Em's hair, but I wasn't sure how much she would enjoy having her hair rolled. I didn't think she would sleep in sponge rollers so I bought some hot rollers.
She did pretty well, but was worried that she was going to get burned. But the rollers didn't even work!! Her hair was just as straight after as it was before. I may have tried to put to much hair onto the rollers, but still we were not a fan of the hot rollers.
Emily really likes to over accessorise when it come to hair clips. I try to tell her that the same rule applies with hair clips as does with makeup....less is more, but she didn't really care what I had to say!!! Years from now when she looks at this picture, I think she will get the point I'm was trying to make!! HA HA!!
But really, when it comes right down to it, you just can't mess with perfection!!! This coming form a mother who thinks she has the greatest kids in the whole world!!! But I am a little bias.
Have a great day y'all!!!

Don't Hate Me Because I'm Beautiful!!!
I hope y'all had a great Labor Day weekend! I know we did!! It was busy and relaxing all at the same time.
Today I had to go to the dentist, so I ran by Mommy and Me to find the girls some new clothes for fall. And I've got a gift certificate for Gracie that is burning a hole through my pocket!! I didn't find much today, but they are still getting things in, so I decided to wait. But I did get this cute headband for Gracie to wear. She hates it, but I at least got one picture. I decided to put it on Em and she loved it!! I hope Em always stays a "girly girl".

We've Got Spirit, Yes We Do!!!!
Every Friday before game day on Saturday, I dress Emily up in her Crimson best for school!!! I know you've seen the cheerleader outfit already, but I'm on the hunt for something else real cute for her to wear!!
This year Gracie gets to join in the mix! She doesn't go to school, of course, but we did go to Walmart. Even the Auburn fans thought she was cute!!! Thanks Tammy, we love the outfit!!
I bought G this pacifier clip. I just love it!!
When G and I went to pick up Em from school, my friend Ashley had her girls dressed in their Auburn best. I didn't have my camera, but Ashley snapped one with her phone and it turned out pretty cute. This picture just makes me smile!

Let's just say, I'm ready for some football!!!!! And I'm excited about this blog party because it will give me some good ideas for some game time munchies this fall!!
I love a good blog party and when there is food involved I love it even BETTER!!! Over at BooMama's she is having a "Diptacular"!! I love dips and chips and crackers of any kind. It's funny because I was just telling my sister-in-law about this dip that my mother makes that is so easy and out of this world!!!
I love this recipe!!! It makes a pretty good bit, so you will have lots to share! I promise you won't be able to stay out of it!!!
Thanks for stopping by and RRRROOOOLLLL TIDE!!!!! GO BAMA!!!!

Chicken Cheese Dip
2- 8oz packages of cream cheese-softened and creamed (I have used the whipped cream cheese and it works good)
2- large cans of chicken breasts, drained and chopped in food processor (I use my small chopper-it's all I have)
1- package of Hidden Valley Ranch dry dressing mix
1- cup chopped pecans (more if desired)
Mix all ingredients together in mixing bowl and chill. Serve with desired chip or cracker (I always use Wheat Thins).
**You can also make this into a ball. Mix dip as stated but save pecans until after other ingredients are mixed. Then form into ball and roll in pecans.

Doctor, Doctor Give Me The News!!!
Wednesday, Gracie had her 1 year check up!! We were a little bummed because we always look forward to seeing Dr. Rutland and Joan. Our thoughts and prayers are with he and his family due to the heart attack he had last Thursday. We are hoping he gets to feeling better soon.
Due to Dr. R's absence, I wasn't sure who our doctor would be that day. I'm a little picky when it comes to doctors because I want one that I can feel comfortable talking to, and to be honest, some are just not easy to converse with!!! But no need for worries because we saw Dr. Dennis. This was my first time to meet him and I liked him a lot. All the news was good news. Gracie weights 23lbs 14oz, and is 29 3/4 inches long. She is meeting all her milestones on time ,and what else can I say, everything is just great. I was worried because she has been having a "poop" problem, but the doctor felt it was because we had switched her form lactose free formula to milk FULL of lactose!!! DUH!!! I didn't even think about that!!! But her little "problem" seems to have, all of a sudden, worked itself out!! No pun intended!!!
My sister-in-law, Maggie, always takes pictures of her daughter Sophie Clare when she goes for her check ups, so I thought I would do the same! I hate I missed a whole year of doing that, but oh well, nothing I can do about it now.
We had to wait a little bit but Gracie was in good spirits....at first!!!
The first thing they tell you to do is strip them down. Gracie looked pretty happy about it!!
Boy how she filled up the scales!!! Like I said, she weighed 23lb 14oz. She liked being weighted so much that when I went to get her, she shook her head "no"!! I think she could have sat there all day because everyone was making over her and telling her how cute she is!!! She eats it up!!
Here's where the trouble began. They had to prick her finger. She wasn't crazy about that so she did cry a little. The problem came when the nurse put the band aide on her finger. She hated it!! She cried and bit her finger until I finally took it off!! Glad she clots fast! Ha Ha!!
I just wanted to show Em off. I thought she looked super cute yesterday....but seriously she looks super cute everyday to me!!! She told her teacher Mrs. Jennifer that her Grandma has a poodle that doesn't like boys and will bite them!! (Neither of her grandparents has a poodle) Where she get this stuff I have no idea, but it makes me laugh!!

Oh Taste
O taste and see that the Lord is good. Blessed are those who take refuge in him. Psalm 34:8
Well, a little tasting is what we did today. It was a wonderful, fall "teaser" of a day!! The weather was overcast and cool enough to be outside all day! I should have really taken advantage of the weather and taken some better pictures of the girls, but we decided to have fun instead.
As you can tell, Gracie loved the chocolate pudding!!!! When she was finished, I literally hosed her down with the water hose.
Gracie's Birthday Party
We decided that Gracie's first birthday would be as low key as possible. We had it at the house and just invited the family. And for it to be just family, there was a house full!!!
I loved her birthday cake!!! My friend Ashley had one similar for her daughter, so I copied her idea, (just changed the colors around). We got it at Cothrans and it was soooo good!!
I'm not sure if Gracie was confused by the cake or the fact that there was so many people at the house.
Gracie go lots of cute presents but didn't care too much about opening them!! She racked up!! She got a gift certificate to Mommy and Me (and I can't wait to go see what they have) and she also got some money. I'm thinking about opening her up a savings account with that. She got some new clothes and the cutest PJs and sippy cup you have ever seen.
I'm not sure if Gracie was confused by the cake or the fact that there was so many people at the house.
After everyone left, Chris broke out the 4-wheeler.
Thanks to everyone who came and for all of Gracie's gifts. I know life is so busy these days, but I'm glad you all took the time to come celebrate Gracie's day. Thanks again. Oh, and PS, thanks to Jamie, my brother-in-law, for taking all the pictures. You did a very good job!!
