Get Well Soon...Please!

Hey y"all! Not a lot has been going on around here this week to report on, so this will be brief. Monday, I had to take Gracie for her 18 month dr. appointment and the timing worked out perfectly for her ears because they need to be rechecked due to her previous ear infection. But timing didn't work out so well in the shot department. One shot she needed couldn't be given early and somehow our appointment was off by one day. But Joan (our favorite nurse) said we could come back at the end of the week and get all of them, but that looks out of the question now because Gracie started running a fever yesterday and has the same terrible cough that Emily had. Well, it's really not as bad as Emily's but it's there! I just want everyone well at the same time! I am looking on the bright side though. We could be dealing with something much worse than a cold and I am very thankful for that. I'm hoping for a much better day today. When Emily is sick, she is more of a "leave me alone and check on me every now and again" person. Gracie is the exact opposite. She wants me to carry her around and hold her all the time. I love doing that! There is nothing better than snuggling with your little one. But Gracie won't even let me touch Emily! Or let Emily touch me! So I pray that on what little sleep we got last night, Gracie will feel better today!

Gracie weighed 26 lbs but I don't know how tall she is. She had to stand on the scale and she couldn't get over the fact that Joan was standing right next to her. She kept sitting down and looking at Joan and crying. She really isn't going to like her when we go back to get her shots!!!

Yesterday, Gracie and I had a few things we needed to do before we picked Emily up at school. I drove by this thrift store and they had two cute outfits hanging in the window, so I stopped in. I was so glad I did. I found Gracie an outfit to wear for the Easter Egg hunt at church and I bought Emily a dress that kind of blends with it. I tried them on when we got home and they look pretty cute. They are wearing them below. Gracie didn't want to take hers off, but we had to.

When I picked Emily up from school, she was playing with her buddy McKenna. McKenna will be going to school with Emily in the fall and she is a really sweet girl. I'm praying that Emily will have some of her preschool buddies in her classroom to make the transition a little easier. I know Em will do fine! She is so ready for "Big School".

These are the outfits. I think they're pretty cute. Gracie played for a little while but not for long. She just didn't feel good.

You know she's not well if she wants to lay down instead of jump on the bed!

I hope y'all have a good day! Now that I have read over this post, it wasn't so brief! Oh well! Later all!

  3. Mrs. Nonny, it is just the luck of the draw! My sis-in-law does way better than I do, but she works them on a regular basis. I just go every now and then. We have more than we can wear as it is...we've been very blessed! This summer my motto is wear it often and much!!!! Thanks Caroline! I've got to go to your etsy shop and order some things for Emily. See you there soon.
