Today

My main goal for today was to sew. Mother and I still had a few things we needed to sew for the girls, so I called my mother-in-law to see if they could watch the girls while I ran down to mother's to finish up our projects. During the spring and summer my in-laws hit all the yard sales that they think will produce the best stuff, so while we waited for them to finish, we had an impromptu photo session. Nothing fabulous, but if I can ever get a halfway decent picture of the girls together, I'm always happy!

Sophie Clair hanging out the window while they were pulling up the driveway. Isn't she the cutest!! I love that hair! I wish I had that hair!

My mother-in-law finds the best things at yard sales. My sister-in-law is even better!!! You need to check out her loot. She usually posts her treasures on Monday. But I got cracked up that my MIL found something she painted at a yard sale today!!! I just laughed and laughed. I can't believe someone put this in a yard sale.....isn't it cute?

Sophie Clare found Emily's Capri Sun in her bag. Do you think she wanted a sip or what? Doesn't she have the prettiest blue eyes?

I headed down to mother's house and we got busy sewing. We didn't get a lot done because the phone kept ringing (and I don't sew anything without her telling me what to do). But we did get Em's octopus outfit made. I don't know about any of you, but we have had a terrible time finding white T-shirts this year. All the shirts in Emily's size have been sold out, so mother ordered a plain shirt from Just Ducky Originals. Mother did the appliqueing and I sewed the shorts. I bought Gracie the Castles and Crowns bubble to wear this summer, so now Em will match. I would love to show you a picture of the bubble, but Castes and Crowns has their website down right now and the original is in a sleeping Gracie's room. I can't chance waking her up to get it!!!!

We are aware this octopus might look better with a mouth, but we couldn't find an applique with one. I may ask my MIL to paint a mouth on this little sweetie or I may leave it...I just can't decide. What do you think I should do?

Latter all!!! I'm headed to bed!

  1. I had a hard time finding Madison at white shirt earlier in the season. I couldn't believe it because it seemed like something so simple, apparently not. Love the outfit. I think the octopus looks fine minus the mouth. Have a great Sunday!
